One day, when a Lion was asleep, a little Mouse began running up and down upon him, this soon wakened the Lion, who placed his huge paw upon him, and opened his big jaws to swallow him. The Lion was so tickled at the idea of the Mouse being able to help him, that he lifted up his paw and let him go. Some time after the Lion was caught in a trap, and the hunters who desired to carry him alive to the King, tied him to a tree while they went in search of a waggon to carry him on. Just then the little Mouse happened to pass by, and seeing the sad plight in which the Lion was. The mouse went up to him and soon gnawed away the ropes that bound the King of the Beasts. "Was I not right?" said the little Mouse.

This slide show was made for the information night that was held by H.E.A.L. Japan on March 21st, 2011. I think it is a very important message. People that are dealing with death or life situations can be nice to each other, care about others, and share. If we were in these peoples shoes, will we be able to do the same?

This deeply human collection of short stories explores the institutions of family and friendship and the shaken sexual relationships of people in Greece. The characters in these stories fight back against a tough reality as they are pushed to the very brink. Each story carves a sincere, dynamic path ending with a sense of harmony, justice, and optimism.
In Greece, nothing reminds us of America. Here, there is no Hollywood, Las Vegas, or Route 66 with motels built in the middle of nowhere. Here, everything seems different. Well, this is not America (or . . . is it?).
In A Good Day on the River, two brothers decide to visit their mother after twenty-five years. On their way, they stumble upon a gas station where something startling occurs.
In Do the Right Thing, a couple is pushed to the brink of separation when the Swedish wife decides to move back to her country with their teenage daughter.
In A Few Words of Grace, a woman loses her faith in God and in Can You Stay Sober Tonight? a man finds his.
In I Apologize to You, Sir after a widowed mother encounters racial violence, she writes a letter of indignation to a newspaper.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

HANUMAN STORIES: TIMELESS TEACHINGS FOR TODAY’S WORLD
Story To Reflect Upon 15,16
1. Two Nickels and Five Pennies
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a
10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a
table.
A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.
"How much is an ice cream sundae?"
"Fifty cents," replied the waitress.
The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied
a number of coins in it.
"How much is a dish of plain ice cream?" he inquired.
Some people were now waiting for a table and the waitress
was a bit impatient.
"Thirty-five cents," she said brusquely.
The little boy again counted the coins. "I'll have the plain ice
cream," he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table
and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the
cashier and departed.
When the waitress came back, she began wiping down the
table and then swallowed hard at what she saw.
There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two
nickels and five pennies - her tip.
Reflection
* One who is mindful, considerate and compassionate
towards others is truly spiritual.
* The world would be a happier and better place if we care
and share more with our fellow human beings.

UPON 16
Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African-American woman
was standing on the side of a Alabama highway trying to
endure a lashing rain storm. Her car had broken down and
she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided
to flag down the next car.
A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard
of in the conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety,
helped her get assistance and put her into a taxi cab. She
seemed to be in a big hurry! She wrote down his address,
thanked him and drove away.
Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door.
To his surprise, a giant combination console color TV and
stereo record player was delivered to his home. A special
note was attached.
The note read:
Dear Mr. James:
Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the
other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes but my
spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to
make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he
passed away. God bless you for helping me and unselfishly
serving others.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole
Reflection
* Charity, help, generosity and service… is our
materialistic and self- centered world lacking in
this?
* Living meaningfully would entail touching
another’s life and making our world a better place
to live in.
