Stickball was a traditional Native American sport played by Southeastern tribes like the Choctaw and Cherokee. Players would use sticks to hit and throw a ball across a large field, sometimes over 100 yards, into goals on either end. Teams were made up of entire villages and games could last several days, bringing communities together for friendly competition and celebration.
