1. Task 3 – Calculating Predictions in Excel
Mike the Director of “Car-rental-professionals” has provided some data from the First Quarter (three months). It shows details of the range of cars
which the company currently has available for the Year Commencing 2013. In addition to this the number of times each car has been rented out has
been provided. Mike has set a Target Rental Revenue of at least £20,000 per quarter to be made.
Develop a spreadsheet solution based on the business needs.
1. Format Main Title (apply merge cell & centre) and Sub Titles(Bold)
2. Create additional columns for QuarterlyRentals,Price to Rent per Dayand Total Revenue
3. Find the Total Rentalsforeach month using a Formula hint: =D8+D9+D10+D11+D12+D13+D14+D15+D16+D17
4. Find the QuarterlyRentalsfor each car using a Function hint: =SUM(D8:F8)
5. Find the Priceto rent per dayfor each car
6. Find the Total Revenueforeach car hint=Quarterly Rentals * Priceto Rent per Day
7. Whether or not Mike has achieved his target revenue

Extension Task
Create a Graph (Pie Chart or Bar/Column) on a separate excel Sheet.
Show the Monthly Total Rentals for Month 1, Month 2, Month 3.
(Tip: Copy the Titles for the Months and type the Totals to Sheet2)
Remember to add the “£” sign in front of all monetary amounts.
