St. Patrick's Day is celebrated every year on March 17th to honor St. Patrick, who introduced Christianity to Ireland in the 5th century. As a teenager, St. Patrick was abducted and enslaved in Ireland for six years before escaping and later returning to introduce Christianity. Upon witnessing St. Patrick's devotion to his faith, the Irish king was impressed and chose to accept Christianity.
