1. “Fourth of July Celebration” “GM Recalls”
On Sunday, July 1st, Reed-Lallier
Chevrolet was proud to help sponsor
a Fourth of July Celebration at Festi-
val Park in downtown Fayetteville.
This celebration not only paid
tribute to armed forces enlisted and
fighting overseas, but also our coun-
try’s freedom and Fayetteville’s 250th
Anniversary.
“The rain that we had earlier didn’t
put a damper on our spirits,” said
Mike Lallier, “and I’m glad to see
so many happy people here for food,
fireworks, and music.”
The North Carolina Symphony fea-
tured Resisdent Conductor William
Henry Curry and solo trumpet player
Paul Randall.
The program featured South Pa-
cific: Symphonic Scenario by Richard
Rodgers, Superman March by John
Williams, and Servicemen on Parade
by Richard Hayman, among others.
The evening concluded with a spec-
tacular array of fireworks. Truly fun
for the whole family.
General Motors Co is recalling
475,418 of its popular compact
Chevrolet Cruze sedans to modify
the under-engine shield so flammable
liquids are not trapped in the engine
compartment, the automaker said on
June 22, 2012.
GM said no crashes or injuries have
been reported in relation to the issue.
Owners will begin getting recall no-
tices in mid-July. A fix of the problem
will take about a half hour at a Chev-
rolet dealership, GM said.
