Cost and Energy Reduction Evaluation for ARM Based Web ServersSébastien Lafond
This document evaluates the cost and energy reduction potential of using ARM-based servers instead of Xeon servers. It finds that ARM Cortex A9 processors can be up to 11 times more energy efficient for web serving workloads based on benchmarks. This increased efficiency could enable total cost savings for data centers of up to 12.7% according to models. ARM servers were found to be 3.6 times more efficient for SIP proxy workloads and 2.9 times for more demanding web service workloads, enabling potential cost savings of 10% and 9%, respectively.

This document provides a summary of a journal article analyzing the relationship between bribery and economic growth. The journal article was published on March 1, 2010 in the Indian Journal of Economics & Business. It uses statistical analysis of corruption perception index and GDP data from 20 countries over 12 years to examine the bidirectional relationship between bribery and economic growth. Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde? The Strange Case of Medical Marketing TranslationErin Lyons
Don Draper has left the building. No creative team, no focus group, and no medical miracle workers at your beck and call: welcome to the world of medical marketing translation – a veritable jungle of multisyllabic pharmacological buzzwords, 140-character limits, and culturally opaque content. This is a challenging field for linguists, who must engage both the right and left brain to master the science of creating artful, engaging, and medically accurate copy. Translators must be prepared to draw on a broad skill set to walk the fine line between pharmacochemistry expert and marketing genius. In this workshop, we will explore the challenges of terminology, linguistic mutation, and brand-specific proprietary terms. Then, we will use sample translations to investigate interlinguistic wordplay, language-specific tone and voice, and production and regulatory constraints. We will also use word-association exercises to improve linguistic dexterity and creative wordsmithing.

Slug reveals he now has a job, flat, and moped. Though he's changed, when asked he admits he still has some old habits, but has come to say words he never thought he would - "Orange juice please."
