The report describes implementations of text-independent speaker identification and verification systems using Gaussian mixture models (GMMs). Experiments are conducted on the MIT Mobile Device Speaker Verification Corpus database to evaluate identification and verification performance rates for different GMM configurations including single speaker GMMs, adapted GMMs, and a proposed fractional GMM approach. Detection error tradeoff curves are also presented to analyze verification performance.
