1. The Floating Ax Head
One day the group of
prophets came to the
prophet Elisha and told him,
“This place where we meet
with you is too small. Let’s
go down to the Jordan River,
where there are plenty of
logs. There we can build a
new place for us to meet.”
“All right,” he told them, “go
ahead.”
以利沙把斧頭浮上來
一群先知對先知以利沙說:
「你看,我們住的地方實
在太小了。請讓我們去約
旦河吧,我們每人都可以
從那裡砍一根木頭蓋房子
居住。」
以利沙說:「你們去吧。」
2. The men asked Elisha
to go with them, and
he agreed. When they
arrived at the Jordan
River, they began to cut
down some trees. But
when one man was
cutting down a tree…
其中一人請以利沙一
起去,以利沙答應了,
便和他們一起去約旦
河砍伐樹木。
3. … the iron ax head
slipped from the
handle and fell into the
water!
“Oh, sir!” he cried. “It
was a borrowed ax!”
有個人砍樹的時候,
斧頭掉進了水裡。他
大喊:「唉!師傅,
這把斧頭是借來的。」
4. Elisha asked, “Where
did it fall?”
The man showed Elisha
the place where the ax
head fell. Then Elisha
cut a stick and threw
the stick into the water.
以利沙問:「斧頭掉
在哪裡了?」
他就指給以利沙看。
以利沙砍了一根樹枝
拋進水裡,
5. Then the ax head
floated to the surface!
“Grab it,” Elisha said.
And the man reached
out and grabbed it.
斧頭便浮了上來!
以利沙說:「你去拿
上來吧!」他便伸手
拿起了斧頭。
