3. Attacks on Jerusalem
The Bible reports that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon
attacked Jerusalem three times:
1. In the 3rd/4th year of Jehoiakim/Eliakim (the 1st
year of Nebuchadnezzar).
2. In the 11th year of Jehoiakim/Eliakim until the 3rd
month of Jeconiah/Jehoiachin (the 8th year of
Nebuchadnezzar).
3. In the 9th-11th year of Zedekiah/Mattaniah
(17th-19th year of Nebuchadnezzar)
This is the most well-known attack by Nebuchadnezzar
and resulted in the complete destruction of Jerusalem.
On the first two occasions, Nebuchadnezzar took
prisoners to Babylon.

7. Chapter 1
Amazingly, God kept these young men alive, even though
they refused to comply with Babylon's teaching and food.
Daniel and his companions were asked to supply lentils, so
that they would not be defiled by the king's meal. On the
condition that their health should not suffer, they were
admitted to the chief. God gave knowledge and skill in all
the writing and wisdom to these 4 young men.

Chapter 6
Daniel was faithful.
Because an excellent l spirit was within him, King Darius made
him the ruler of the whole realm,
Presidents and princes sought to accuse Daniel, but there was
nothing to prove him guilty. Deciding to blame him concerning
the law of God .
They discussed with the king to establish a decree that
whosoever make a petition to any God than the king for 30
days should be cast into a den of lions.
Daniel though he knew the decree ,he kneeled upon his knees
3 times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God ,as
he did aforetime.
Result
God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions and
delivered Daniel.
Others who accused Daniel were cast into the den along with
their families.
