Peaks & Plains Housing Trust Culture is bound up by our Purpose: "Helping Improve Lives" and our 6 key individual behaviours that each apply to all our staff.
Over 300 people attended a public forum in Anaconda-Deer Lodge County, Montana to provide input on emergency operations and mitigation plans. The turnout was larger than expected, so organizers had to move people inside and hand out materials to households rather than individuals. Attendees heard presentations from emergency response subcommittees and discussed how to prepare for the first 72 hours following a disaster. There was active engagement between community members and the emergency response teams. Organizers were pleased with the successful involvement from across the county and will continue to implement emergency planning goals, such as readying the first shelter and improving communication systems.
