Group Work in “Disaster and Health Risk Management for Livable City”Maki Koyama
This document outlines the group work conducted as part of a disaster risk management course. The group worked on developing an emergency response plan for foreign students in Japan. They discussed useful tools for emergencies like hazard maps and translation apps. The group considered building damage, entrapment, fires and transportation after a hypothetical large earthquake. Through developing their own plan, students learned how to prepare and respond during disasters while considering diversity in customs and needs. The conclusion emphasizes learning about disaster risk in the country being visited.
