At present, social work and Additional Support Need services in education reach about 8% of the total population. Many of those currently supported may not be those with the greatest need. Some of the children will be in receipt of services as a result of their parents needs or because of statutory responsibilities. There are many children with multiple needs not known to services. We can either try to reduce the size of the red circle or find the money to expand the service circle. It will make more financial sense to reduce the size of the red circle.
