Sarada Devi, also known as Holy Mother, was born in 1853 in Joyrambati, India. She was the wife and first disciple of Sri Ramakrishna. After his death, she carried on his religious ministry and served as a guide and inspiration for the new spiritual movement. She initiated the Ramakrishna Mission to do social work, advocated for women's education by implementing a girls' school on the Ganges, and inspired many women through her simple and modest life. Before her death in 1920, Sarada Devi advised her followers to seek peace of mind by not faulting others and seeing their own faults instead.
