Dr. Shriniwas Kashalikar visits several spiritual sites in India, including Gondavle Budruk and Shirdi. He respects the millions of devotees who visit these sites annually. However, he questions why these places are plagued by issues that lead to societal downfall, and why the spiritual masters have not reformed these places. The split between spiritualism and materialism has caused people to visit sites with selfish and parasitic mindsets rather than for spiritual enlightenment. Namasmaran, or remembrance of the divine name, is presented as the solution, as it empowers people to understand dharma and rectify individual and social conditions for blossoming.
