Speaker: Mary Poplin
Pacifica Room, Student Union 7-8:30 PM
In 1996, Poplin spent two months volunteering with Mother Teresa and
the Missionaries of Charity. Her experience of Mother Teresa’s work challenged
her to rethink her understanding of spirituality.
Mary Poplin (Ph.D. Univ. of Texas) is a professor of education and teaches Ph. D students
at Claremont Graduate University. She also studies highly effective teachers in
economically challenged urban school in Los Angeles.
