Alpha-Arbutin is a biosynthetic active ingredient to promote skin lightening. It counteracts the enzymatic caused degradation of the melanin precursors. Hence, the enzyme tyrosinase cannot trigger the process which is responsible for the formation of pigment. Zinc gluconate strengthens the resistance of the skin.
