The remarkable events that were achieved in this month:
a. Summer Camp(11-14 Aug.):

b. FYE Recruitment(2 Sep.):
"FYE: is a three day program that involves new students and elder students to
engage them in the university." We started recruitment during those days and

"Facts about Petroleum engineering and industry, stickers and our
department's five year plan… in addition to soft drinks and cupcakes.
c. Welcome Packs(18 Oct.):
We made student's welcome packs for the beginning of the new semester, this
pack included: A leather Gym bag, a notebook, a small note, car sticker,
portable charger, oil filed conversions factors' table and a pen.

a lounge containing (TV, Playstation, Pingpong table, Air Hoackey Table,
Backgammon, chess, cards, darts, Computers, Printing Station, study room, a
boiler and coffee needs) All services are for all petroleum students and free of
charge.

f. SPE Developmental Funday (17 Oct.) :
This funday has been in collaboration with an organization called "Developers
Inc.". This was a whole day training was held for all SPE-AUC members and
Petroleum engineering Students, the training was about how a member
becomes a leader giving "the fundamentals of leadership skills", "Lead by love
or fear" and "basics of communication skills"
g. Halliburton's Technical Session(20 Oct. – 3 Nov.):
we are currently running through those sessions, they are held on Saturdays
and Tuesdays as of a total number of five sessions and a Yard visit to
Halliburton's yard to see different wireline, LWD and MWD tools. Those
sessions are also certified as a one week of training from Halliburton.
The problems we faced in this month and how we dealt with it:
Most of the problems we face were related to members' and high board members'
dedication and commitment. However, such things we deal with it through
engagement and motivation. We actually made two outings to make them feel the
identity of being a part of a family not just a club or an association, we also motivated
non active members by giving awards to active", "Most Developed", "Spirit maker"
and "crisis manager". Such awards build a strong spirit between all SPE members,
motivate non working members and encourage the working ones.
We also have an HR committee, this committee's responsibilities are to flow up with
all running projects, evaluate each projects through evaluation sheets and feedbacks.
It also does individual monthly evaluations for all heads and members to track their
learning curve and developmental progress.
