The South Euclid Community Gardens project started in 2016 with funding from a $1M grant from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and $300,000 from the First Suburbs Development Council. The funds were used to convert vacant lots in South Euclid into community gardens that have helped build community. Before and after photos show the transformation of the Warrendale Road, Eastway Road, Hinsdale, and Quarry Park community gardens, and there was also a Victory Garden created for Bhutanese refugees.
