This document discusses solution processed PV solar cells. It describes how solution processing involves applying a thin-film coating using a printing press-like system. The goals are to make electrical devices that are small, cheap, durable, stable, and thin. Various techniques can be used to deposit solutions, including spin coating, spraying, doctor blading, dip coating, and inkjet printing. Solution processing allows fabrication of solar cells with low-cost materials at low temperatures. It reduces material usage and allows layer-by-layer manufacturing of flexible, high-performance solar cells. The technique is applicable not just for solar cells but also for displays, transistors, sensors and more. Improving stability remains a key challenge.
