3. Introduction
• Demand for energy sources has been increasing day
by day.
• It is alternative to IC engine.
• This engine is eco-friendly and efficient.
• In rotary engine, gas in the sump thank is heated by
sun’s radiation.
• Temperature is directly proportional to pressure.
• It consists of a triangular rotor which has been given
hemispherical notch at each of its vertex.

4. Introduction of Rotary Engines
• It is an internal combustion engine.
• It consists different parts as follows, Rotor, Stationary
rotor, Housing, Rotor journal, Cooling jackets.
• Rotor has three convex faces.
• Stationary rotor it helps to rotate a rotor journal in
axis.
• In housing all the process are take place.
• Cooling jackets are used to transfer heat from engine.

7. Methodology
• The gas in the sump is heated by using solar power.
• Increase in temperature of gas increases the pressure
in the sump tank
• Gas moves from unstable region to stable region.
• Rotor starts to rotate because gas enters into housing
and hits the hemispherical notch of rotor at high
velocity.
• Gas is cooled with help of fins.
• Ds enters bottom of sump.

8. Components of Rotary Engine
1) Centralised solar panel
2) Sump tank
3) Housing
4) Rotor
5) Fins
6) Circulating pipe

12. Conclusion
• It is a renewable source therefore there is no
pollution.
• It gives more efficiency at higher temperature.
• It can be used in vehicles.
