Put Down Your Phone and Start A Movement. Introducing #DinnerModeHello Neighbor
I was invited to give a talk on the BOLD state at INBOUND14, HubSpot's annual conference. In my talk I launched #DinnerMode, a new national movement to put down our phones at dinner and enjoy the food we're eating and the people we're eating with. These slides tell the story of how I came to this idea and the journey I was on before launch.
What's New and Exciting In Social Media (Q1 2013)Hello Neighbor
Social media changes so quickly! I put together a quick guide of what you know need to know now about changes to current platform and what's new and you should keep you eye on.
The Art of Storytelling for Social EntrepreneursHello Neighbor
Launchfest a "fun conference for serious entrepreneurs" asked me to give a presentation for their social entrepreneurship track. I discussed how storytelling can increase donations and sales.
I presented this first to the MISF to a group of 80 people in leadership roles for private schools in MN (members of MISF). It gives real-world examples of parents who are on social media channels ready to have conversations about their schools; reviews benefits of two-way/multi-way conversations (in person and social media) vs one-way (printed); addresses privacy concerns, technology and resources hurdles and provides An Approach that Works.
Managing and leveraging social media in Higher Ed is a daunting task. In this session learn about the importance of creating a social media strategy, implementing a policy and/or playbook, conduct successful training, manage crisis communication and engage with various audiences.
This presentation was given at the HobsonsU 2014 conference in Nashville, TN.
Social Media Bootcamp presented at ASPSN 2015 by Monique Ramsey of Cosmetic Social Media. American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN) at American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) Annual Meeting in Boston, October 2015. #PSTM15

The digital age is making it easier for parents and the community to learn what happens inside the school building. Using social media, schools and districts can more deeply engage with those stakeholders, providing a more unified foundation for better relationships. It also makes it easier for professionals to tell their stories and take control of the message they want all to know about the great things happening in schools and districts. Steven W. Anderson, author of the book The Relevant Educator and The Tech-Savvy Administrator, will examine the current social media landscape and describe personal and school branding. He will also show how to accomplish it easily and simply with little or no funds but having maximum impact.

Improving Workplace Safety Performance in Malaysian SMEs: The Role of Safety ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: In the Malaysian context, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) experience a significant
burden of workplace accidents. A consensus among scholars attributes a substantial portion of these incidents to
human factors, particularly unsafe behaviors. This study, conducted in Malaysia's northern region, specifically
targeted Safety and Health/Human Resource professionals within the manufacturing sector of SMEs. We
gathered a robust dataset comprising 107 responses through a meticulously designed self-administered
questionnaire. Employing advanced partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) techniques
with SmartPLS 3.2.9, we rigorously analyzed the data to scrutinize the intricate relationship between safety
behavior and safety performance. The research findings unequivocally underscore the palpable and
consequential impact of safety behavior variables, namely safety compliance and safety participation, on
improving safety performance indicators such as accidents, injuries, and property damages. These results
strongly validate research hypotheses. Consequently, this study highlights the pivotal significance of cultivating
safety behavior among employees, particularly in resource-constrained SME settings, as an essential step toward
enhancing workplace safety performance.
