Concept:
Spring break is a time of rejuvenation for students; we want to get engaged in somewhat
of a conversation with them - we want to see what new inspiration they’re finding in their
time off from the hustle and bustle of college life.
The Gist of It:
Spring break is a time of rejuvenation – we want to know how you’re finding new
inspiration this week! A book? A movie? A place? Or Person? Post a picture on Instagram
of something that inspires you over spring break using #SCCAinspires before March
13th. SCCA will select the top four posts based on creativity, presentation, overall appeal,
and likes. The top four will then be posted to the SCCA Instagram (@LibertyU_SCCA)
for a final vote by you! The winner will receive a sketchbook, gift card, and other fun
SCCA gifts!
Justification:
According to the lecture on events, we are instructed to use a hashtag to connect
which we have created (#SCCAinspires). We are also, according to the lecture on
events, generating conversation by inviting feedback (what inspires you?). We are
following the KISS rule by having a simple yet interesting contest, free from
complicated rules and exceptions.
This concept is consistent with the overarching goals and tone of SCCA SNSs by
being both encouraging and engaging. Essentially, in the end, students are being
invited to come alongside SCCA and promote encouragement and engagement in
their own content. We wanted to be very straight forward, yet open-ended and to
create a connection between content that SCCA students are already likely to be
living and sharing and our own SNS identities.
