Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

3. Changes Introduced in SNAP (Last Year)
• Before 2017, candidate’s had the option to register in both online and offline mode. But from 2017, the
registration is done in online mode only.
• From pen and paper based exam, SNAP has moved to computer based test
• Earlier, SNAP registration fee was INR 1500 but from 2017 it had increased to INR 1750
• In SNAP exam number of questions are reduced from 180 to 150
4. Prerequisites for SNAP Registration
• Valid email id, phone number and contact details.
• Recent photograph in .jpg/ .jpeg/ .png/ .gif (Size Specialization – 10 KB to 100 KB).
• Mark-sheets and Degree Certificates.
5. How To Apply for SNAP 2018 ?
• SNAP Registration: Visit www.snaptest.org , register as “New Candidate”. Fill personal details asked in the
form. After successful registration an Registration ID and Password will be generated and sent to registered
email id.
• Fill Application Form & Upload Documents: Enter SNAP ID and Password then click Login. Enter all mandatory
details and save it then upload image in required format.
• Payment of Fee: Fee can be paid either by Online mode or by Offline mode.
