Smart Tub
Problem Statement
We hear everyday about
inconsistent water temperature in
bath tubs and showers. Most of the
time its done through manual
turning of hot water and cold water
pipes to get the right temperature. It
leads to often skin burns and other
heat related hazards.
Objectives
Objectives of Smart Tub
● Develop a hardware model to test sensor
based smart tub in real time.
● Use an appropriate temperature sensor to
monitor the temperature values.
● Use a heating coil, which can be controlled
electronically to heat the water.
● Use appropriate power supply to power
the whole system.

Hardware
3D Modelling and 3d Printing
Electronics Components
Arduino UNO Platform is used for programming and
control of electronic components.
Relay modules are used for the on off control.
Temperature sensor is DS1820.

Conclusion
Smart tub provide a seamless interface
for control, monitoring and visualization of
process involved. Adding features to
include mixing of essential oils, getting
the right temperature for various type of
bath tub experiences, adding more user
selective modes etc will be the scope of
future work.
