The document proposes a mobile app called the KeePCette Sleep App to help business people get more sleep by disabling device functions during set sleep times. It would allow emergency calls and set wake/sleep times customized for individual schedules. Users could join virtual or physical sleep teams for motivation. The app aims to reduce stress and increase productivity, memory, cognitive function and creativity by ensuring adequate nightly sleep.

Casper Dream Team Application User Research Report David Delgadø
As a passion project, I was tasked with finding a problem that could be solved with technology and tieing it to a brand. In this case, I found that smart alarm clocks fell short and given the proliferation of mattress start-ups, Casper could use such a technology to make it's offering more compelling.

3. Sleep Deprivation
• Groups of people across all age ranges are suffering from a lack of sleep for a
variety of reasons, including habitual usage of technology.
• Researchers have found that the human body should receive 7.5hours of sleep
per day, yet many individuals are sleep deprived due to frequent usage of
technological devices.
• As long as the brain is functioning at
full capacity, there is no requirement
for sleep.
• However, the brain needs to rest every
now and then, and sleep is the
mandatory biological “reset“.

5. Our Target Group: Business People
These days, most working people have electronic
gadgets such as iPhones, iPads, Laptops,
Blackberries, PCs, etc. nearly glued to their hands.
Therefore, they are under huge pressure since most of
their bosses and clients expect them to be available
24/7.
This leads to instances where people are constantly
checking their devices, even at night and first
thing in the morning.
The effect of this does not only lead to sleep
deprivation, but can also lead to burn-outs,
pressure on their private and family life and
the inability to be productive and efficient.
Our team will tackle this dilemma!
5
6. Our Target Group: Business People
• According to experts, people need at least 6-8 hours of sleep per day
• Being available almost 24/7 due to new technology and higher job expectations obviously
prevents business people from getting adequate sleep in order to be fully functional.

9. How The KeePCette Sleep App Works
• The application will be installed on all electronic devices which prevent the
user from sleeping (Smartphones, Tablets, Computers)
• After setting a wake up and sleep time alert, the app will make sure that the
user gets at least 6-8 hours of sleep per day by disabling all other functions of
the device except for the ability to make emergency calls and to toggle the
KeePCette Sleep APP.
• The user can customize these alerts if (s)he is e.g.
• Working night shifts and sleeps during the day
• Is on a business trip in a different time zone
• Prefers to sleep 7 hours per night and power nap 1 hour after lunch
• Etc.
• The app will also work as an alarm clock to wake the user up
9
10. How The KeePCette Sleep App Works
• As with sports, people are usually more motivated when joining teams.
• Either a virtual or physical sleeping team can be formed in this community, via
the “Sleep Link” KeepCette Sleep App
• Each team member will be alerted if a team member abide by the app’s sleep
team rules.
• If a team member breaks the rules (s)he will get punished and has to donate
a certain amount of money for charity e.g. a sleep laboratory.
10
11. Advantages Of The KeePCette Sleep App
• Reduced stress
• Increased alertness and efficiency
• Improved memory and learning
• Good for the heart
• Increased cognitive functioning
• Creativity boost
• Motivation for fitness and healthier living.
