Skolkovo is an innovation ecosystem in Russia that aims to develop the country's startup talent. It includes a new city and infrastructure currently under development and planned to be finished by 2017. The ecosystem also includes an innovation center called Technopark Skolkovo that provides services and infrastructure to support over 1000 innovative companies and startups. It houses the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and has partnerships with over 35 large industrial companies and 50 venture capital funds. Companies accepted to Skolkovo receive significant benefits including tax exemptions, customs easing, migration policy benefits, and access to grants of up to $10 million. The Technopark also collaborates with startups internationally and aims to facilitate business development
