4. Solar Feed-in Tariffs (Spain)

• The new FiT establishes a quarterly “pre-registration mechanism”. The regulated tariff for
each official announcement will be calculated according to the existing demand within the
previous announcement, with a decrease in the remuneration if the quarterly cap is totally
covered. This mechanism can lead to a decrease of the tariff between 10% and 16% per year
depending on the market segment.

5. Solar Feed-in Tariffs (Portugal)
Solar PV Feed-in Tariff Portugal

• Amount: 0.6175 EUR/kWh
• Geographic Focus: Portugal
• Deadline: 31st December 2013

• The support for Photovoltaics in Portugal radically changed in April 2008 with the introduction
of the Renewables-on-Demand Programme, published as law Decree 363/2007, replacing
the Independent Power Producer (IPP) scheme and setting new tariff levels. On top of the new
FiT (special regime) some investment subsidies, soft loans and a reduction in VAT are also
available.

• Grant Type: Installation Projects
• Amount: £20,000
• Geographic Focus: Northern Ireland

• The Help with Hydro is provided by NIE Energy as part of the NIE SMART programme.
The scheme can provide grants to businesses and other organisations to install renewable
