Planning and Organising – Successfully managed to complete university
assessments and revision while maintaining a good work-life balance.
I have a part-time job that I have been able to keep while completing studies and that
has not been a cause for me to be unable to meet deadlines or do my best in my
field.
This has been achieved by creating and sticking-to a schedule which has allowed
me to organise my time more efficiently while also allowing time for leisure time
which maintains my ability to work the next day.
This extends to the ability to complete group work with others and attend and
organise group meetings.
Research – I have been able to successfully research topics for my university
course. This has been showcased in my many assessments that I have completed
over the years.
I have used websites, books and journals, utilising tools such as the glossaries,
index pages and word search tools on the computer.
This has allowed me to search directly for the relevant information and frees-up the
rest of my time to write.
This skill also includes the ability to compare two sources on similar topics together
to gain more information and possibly issues with the information.
Teamwork – I have worked well in a group over several years of higher education. I
can lead the team or follow depending on the situation.
I will do the work that is required for my team so that we will be able to work towards
our goal.
If I am leading then I will delegate the roles to the correct people and ensure I know
what roles are better for my strengths.
This ensures that time is not wasted and everyone plays to their strengths.
Writing – I can write properly, making use of proper punctuation and paragraphing
this ensures that my assessments are coherent and make as much sense as
possible.
Structuring is key, therefore I try and ensure that my assessments are as easy to
follow as they can be. Without proper structuring the point may be lost unnecessarily.
I give 100% in work therefore I give 100% in leisure time. It is important to have a
break and unwind at the end of the day. This ensures my motivation and planning
will continue into the next day.
