Abtech SX Stainless Steel Enclosures & Junction Boxes
Hazardous Areas, Zones 1 & Zones 2 - ATEX Certified
The Abtech SX range of stainless steel enclosures and junction boxes includes 14 sizes manufactured in either 316 stainless steel or mild steel. Abtech SX hazardous area stainless steel enclosures and junction boxes are available in standard depths of 140, 200 or 300mm and can be fitted with removable cable gland plates and client approved terminals.
Abtech SX range of stainless steel enclosures and junction boxes were specifically designed to meet the rigors of the North Sea and are capable of achieving IP66, IP67 and IP68 ingress protection. SX hazardous area electrical enclosures have passed the Shell/ERA deluge test, devised to test enclosures and electrical equipment that is routinely subjected to ships decks conditions or fire deluge systems for marine and offshore applications.
Abtech SX Stainless Steel Enclosures & Junction Boxes, Features : Wide operating temperature (-70 to +175 degrees Celsius), Ingress protection to IP68 (submersible to 120ft), Fire resistant to IEC331, Corrosion resistant, Hazardous area approved.
Hazardous Area Certified Stainless Steel Enclosures & Junction Boxes : Abtech SX enclosures and junction boxes carry global hazardous area certifications - ATEX EEx'e' to BSEN50019 (Zone 1 & 2), EEX'nA' to BSEN50021 (Zone 2), NEMA 4X (CSA, UL & FM Class 1 Div 2) and GOST.
Fire Resistant Stainless Steel Enclosures & Junction Boxes : Abtech SX enclosures can be upgraded for fire resistance applications when fitted with ceramic terminals meeting the requirement of IEC331 (750 degrees Celsius for 3 hours) and BS6387/1983 (950 degrees Celsius for 3 hours).
Fire Rated, LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen LSF) Junction Box Enclosures IEC 331
(750°C for 3 hours) & BS6387 (950°C for 3 hours - Flame Only)
Fire Rated Electrical Enclosures - Mild, Stainless Steel, GRP
When installing essential electrical systems such as emergency lighting or fire safety controls, great emphasis is placed upon the fire survivability of the critical components such as fire dampers, actuators and cables that are contained in the area. Often the specification of the junction boxes and enclosures is neglected with respect to fire resistance and survival. On the basis that any system is only as good as the weakest part, it is important that attention is paid to the junction boxes being utilised for essential systems.
Abtech ensure the fire survival of junction boxes using both the SX (stainless steel enclosure) and BPG (GRP enclosure) ranges.
Fire Rated Electrical Enclosures Tested to IEC 331 - SX Enclosure Range :
IEC331 - 750 Degrees celsius for 3 hours - flame only - PASSED
BS6387 C - 950 Degrees celsius for 3 hours - flame only - PASSED
BS6387 Z - 950 Degrees celius for 3 hours - external impact - PASSED
BS6387 W - 950 Degrees celsius for 3 hours - water spray - PASSED
Abtech SX and BPG electrical enclosures and junction boxes when fitted with ceramic terminals are suitable for use in areas designated to require fire resistant cables according to IEC331, BS6387 C (fire alone), BS6387 Z (impact test) and BS6387 W (fire with water test).
Abtech ZAG Aluminium Enclosures & Junction Boxes for Hazardous Areas
Abtech Aluminium Electrical Enclosures & Junction Boxes (Zone 1 & 2, ATEX) - Abtech ZAG
The Abtech ZAG range of aluminium enclosures and junction boxes includes 19 sizes that are precision die cast in Al Si 12 grade (LM24) aluminum alloy - the most suitable grade of aluminum for maximum corrosion resistance of junction boxes, especially in salt and corrosive atmospheres.
The Abtech ZAG range of aluminium enclosures and junction boxes have many features for use in a wide range of electrical applications - including industrial and hazardous area junction boxes and OEM applications where the excellent machining qualities of aluminium are preferred.
The Abtech ZAG range of aluminium enclosures and junction boxes can be machined, drilled, tapped with various thread forms and readily accepts most paint finishes and colours.
Abtech ZAG Aluminium Enclosures & Junction Boxes
Abtech ZAG Aluminium Enclosures & Junction Boxes, Features :
Wide operating temperature (-70 to +130 degrees Celsius)
Ingress protection to IP67, Corrosion resistant
Zone 1 & 2 hazardous area certified - UL, CSA, ATEX, GOST approved
Hazardous Area Certified Aluminium Enclosures & Junction Boxes
Abtech ZAG enclosures and junction boxes carry global hazardous area certifications - ATEX EEx'e' to BSEN50019 (Zone 1 & 2), EEX'nA' to BSEN50021 (Zone 2), NEMA 4X (CSA, UL & FM Class 1 Div 2).

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
