Editor's Notes
- This video was used in one of the sessions that I attended at the National Conference last month. It fits in perfectly with tonight’s topic – Reconciliation. So let’s quiet ourselves in preparation for this video prayer.
- After video: This video is a perfect opening for the theme of our evening. Forgiveness. We humans certainly have a lot to learn from both God and dog on this topic.
- Will the volunteers for our opening presentation please gather at the start of the road. We will have three couples walk down our road tonight. When each pair gets to the middle, we will all witness a conversation between them. Then the next pair will follow, and then the last. So can everyone please position their chairs so they can see the middle of the road and we’ll get started.
- Participants will walk together down the Road, in pairs having a scripted argument. two childrenparent and teentwo neighbors

- We will be looking very closely at the topic and the sacrament of Reconciliation a bit later tonight. But we’ll be starting with this game to get us thinking about the various sins in our world today. We want to all get on the same page – so to speak on the topic of Sin so we have a common ground to start from when we talk about Reconcilaition.Notice that you all have some sort of noisemaking device on your table. That will be your buzzer. Please give that buzzer to someone at your table. They will have to ring in your answer in this game. Be sure that the whole group has conferred together before you ring in. - The point of this game is not to judge or analyze deeply. We are just want to establish a concept of sin that will be a backdrop for our topic of Reconciliation. So in our game, think quickly. What sin comes to your mind first. Try to think beyond the Ten Commandments. You can also consider the beatitudes, rules of the church, and the teachings of Jesus. We’re looking for concise sins, not long explanations. We need to be able to write a word or two on our road signs. So instead of saying ‘he took something that didn’t belong to him’ say ‘Stealing’.
