Zhangde Primary School held a Mini-Charity Bazaar organized by the school's CIP Leaders to raise funds for pupils under the school's Financial Assistance Scheme. The bazaar was held on September 1st during recess for Primary 2 to 6 pupils. Five Primary 5 CIP pupil leaders, including Foong Siqi, Favian Cheong, Gracier Chua Tan Zheng, Hazel Goh, and Wong Jun Yin, manned stalls selling creative items made from recycled materials that were priced between 50 cents and $2. Over 300 pupils visited the stalls and all items sold out by 10:20am, raising $52 for the Financial Assistance Scheme pupils.

The Mini- Charity Bazaar idea was chosen finally, after using the PMI ( Edward de
Bono’s thinking tool ) Critical Thinking strategy.
The targeted level was Pr 4. These pupils did creative items out of the recycled stuff.
These items were sold on 1st September, during pupils recess time – Pr 2 to Pr.6
( 9.30-11.00am ) At least 300 pupils visited our stalls ( 3 stalls – 50 cents/1 dollar / 2
dollar items ). All were manned by CIP pupil leaders and CIP Teacher drivers and
myself ( OIC ). All items were sold out by 10.20am. Money ( $52.00 ) was accounted
for and submitted to school’s Account clerk and AM.
