Sikkim is known as the land of peace and tranquility. It has a population of 0.6 million and Gangtok is the capital city. The key industries are agriculture, horticulture, food processing and tourism. Sikkim has experienced high economic growth with its GSDP increasing at a CAGR of 21.7% between 2004-05 to 2010-11. The tertiary sector is the largest contributor to the state's economy, accounting for 50.7% of GSDP in 2010-11.
