A NOTE BY THE TRANSLATORS
Apart from the intrinsic difficulty of the subject matter of this unusual presentation of the ethical problem, the translators had to work from a very inadequately recorded version of the subject. The meaning of the text, therefore, is not always clear. Nevertheless, the fascination of the theoretical frame -- set forth here in very slender outline -- will attract many of those who combine a deep interest in ethical theory (theistic, Islamic) with a keen desire to see ethics made an authentic part of the everyday life of man. Especially modern man's search for a theoretical anchor is now combined with a passion for the improvement of man's relationship with God and his fellowmen, which makes the presentation attractive, worthwhile and worth preserving. Those who want to pursue the subject will obviously have to turn to the revered speaker's other works, at least the two mentioned by himself, namely, Irfan-i-Ilahi and Najat (unfortunately available only in Urdu).
WAY OF THE SEEKERS was first published in Urdu in 1926, and was re-issued in 1956, being the text of a speech delivered at the Annual Conference of the Ahmadiyya Community on December 27 and 28, 1925 by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II. This is an English translation of the original speech by Qazi Muhammad Aslam, M. A. and Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, M. A.
leadership lessons from the life of rasoolullahKhalid Abdullah
Rasoolullah exemplified extraordinary qualities that allowed him to forge an extraordinary team from disparate Arab tribes. To be extraordinary, one must do more than others think is wise or reasonable, listening to an inner message others cannot hear and inspiring others to follow. An extraordinary leader challenges assumptions, questions accepted beliefs, stands for truth regardless of cost, and supports the oppressed while standing up to oppressors. This inspires trust in the leader's vision and followership.
Islamic Book in English: The Aged (Idol) WorshipperIslamic Library
This document provides a summary of an Islamic booklet titled "The Aged (Idol) Worshipper". It describes the miserable conditions that prevailed in pre-Islamic Arabia and the world during a time of ignorance, darkness and barbarism. It then highlights some key events from the noble life of Prophet Muhammad including his birth, the beginning of his prophethood, the first revelation, and the early preaching of Islam. It also shares a story from the memoir of an Islamic brother who was formerly addicted to heroin but found guidance.
The document summarizes the difficulties faced by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the early days of Islam in Makkah. It describes how the disbelievers of Quraysh would harass him physically and verbally when he began preaching Islam openly. It provides details of how they threw garbage at him, poured animal blood on his door, and strangled his neck while he was in prostration. It also discusses the social boycott imposed on the Prophet's tribe for protecting him. The document highlights the importance of remaining patient when facing difficulties in spreading the message of Islam.
Questions and Answers About Islamic VeilAhmed@3604
Veiling is still necessary according to Islamic teachings. The literal meaning of 'awrat' is "something that should be concealed". The Prophet said that a woman is an 'awrat, meaning something to conceal, and when she goes out, shaitan stares at her. While times have changed, the rulings of Islam have not, and protecting one's modesty and preventing fitnah (temptation/trial) are as important now as ever. Scholars say the veil is obligatory to conceal beauty and charm according to Islamic law.
The document discusses several hadith pertaining to provision, hunger, and abstinence from the Prophet Muhammad's time. It describes how the Prophet and his companions often went hungry and ate very meager meals, sometimes only eating leaves or fasting for multiple days. It mentions that the Prophet would encourage patience during times of hunger by saying those who endured it would be rewarded. The document emphasizes living contently with what provision one has from Allah and finding satisfaction in simple things.

This document provides an introduction to the topic of dreams in Islam. It begins with a poem about how the heart experiences emotions alone, even when the body experiences joy with others. Dreams are said to belong to the heart, and studying them allows one to probe human nature and conduct. The document notes that some dreams are divine gifts that come to sound hearts, while others attack the heart. It also mentions that most people today cannot "see" due to sealed and veiled hearts. The introduction criticizes a Muslim who advised against attaching importance to dreams, saying this view is new and emerges from secularization rather than authentic Islamic tradition.

Bee Like The Bee ( 2nd Edition) || Muhammad Nabeel Musharraf || Australian Islamic Library
This document describes an intermediate level Islamic studies course in English for adults. It provides information about the course content, which focuses on bringing the spirit of da'wah (inviting others to Islam) in Muslims and improving their understanding and practice of basic Islamic obligations or fardhu 'ain. The document emphasizes striving to be grateful and gaining a deep understanding of Islam as a way of life rather than just subjects to learn. It encourages ensuring one's performance of religious duties is for the sake of drawing closer to God rather than out of obligation alone.
The document provides an introduction to analyzing the Quran from a scientific perspective. It discusses how the Quran contains descriptions of the sea that would not be expected from a desert dweller. It also notes that the Quran describes the smallest particle as being smaller than an atom, which was a novel concept centuries before modern discoveries. The document argues that analyzing the Quran scientifically is valid because, unlike other religious texts, it provides a way to test whether claims are wrong or right.
Dua refers to supplication or invocation in Islam, which is the act of calling out to God in prayer or conversation at any time. It is considered one of the most powerful acts of worship. Dua involves praising God, asking for forgiveness and assistance, and expressing gratitude. While similar to Christian prayer, dua is distinct from the five daily ritual prayers (salat) that Muslims perform. The document discusses the importance, benefits, and proper etiquette of making dua according to Islamic teachings and guidance from Prophet Muhammad.
This document provides a 3-page introduction and summary of a collection of morning and evening supplications written by Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen.
[1] It describes the origin and compilation of the supplications, including verification of authenticity and addition of references.

Jihad: It is derived from juhd which is used for many meanings such as: hardship, extreme, capacity, strength, extreme effort. The rule is that the derived word has the meaning and denotation of the source of derivation. Therefore, in the literal meaning of jihad, all these meanings will be considered. In the Shari'ah, the striving with hardship for the promotion and upliftment of the true religion is "Jihad", which has many forms.
For Example, we can do jihad with our tongues, we can do it with our money, we can do it with our pens, we can do it with our knowledge and we can do it by risking our lives when it needed. In Shariah, jihad is not just about killing and fighting, as people like Wasim Rizvi used to disperse the minds of the native brothers and arouse the non-Islamic world against the religion of Islam.
This document summarizes a historic 1935 conversation between Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw and Islamic scholar Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui in Mombasa, Kenya. Shaw questioned whether Islam had spread by the sword, to which Siddiqui brilliantly responded that Islam means peace and only permits fighting in self-defense, citing Quranic verses. He compared this to how Christianity was imposed through violence like the Council of Nicaea. Shaw acknowledged misunderstandings of Islam, then asked if Muslims agreed with Siddiqui's interpretation, showing interest in further discussion between the representatives of the two civilizations.

2. A brief introduction explaining the book will describe qualities of those near to Allah and notes hadith praising companions gathered in remembrance of Allah.

3. If asked why Allah created you, say "Allah created all of us so that we can worship Him."
This document discusses the virtues of sadaqah (charity) according to Islamic teachings. It begins by outlining good intentions one should have when listening to a religious talk or bayan. It then shares a story of a slave who gave four dirhams in charity and received immense rewards, including freedom, compensation, and forgiveness for himself and others. The document encourages giving sadaqah regularly to earn Allah's rewards, noting how the slave earned blessings many times what he donated. It emphasizes the importance of sadaqah based on Quranic commands to donate charity.
The Quran highlights the important role of female bees by using feminine verbs to describe their tasks, such as building homes and producing honey, which science later confirmed. It notes that honey, which comes in varying colors and has healing properties for people, emerges from the bellies of bees. By drawing attention to minute details about bees that were unknown at the time, the Quran demonstrates its divine origin and invites reflection on Allah's signs in creation.
This document discusses the greatness of Surah Sajdah and Surah Mulk from the Quran based on hadiths from the Prophet Muhammad. It states that these two surahs have benefits for the reader, especially in the afterlife. Reciting them after Maghrib and before sleeping is encouraged, as the Prophet did not sleep without reciting them. They are said to intercede for the reciter and lead to forgiveness of sins and entry into Paradise. The document provides links to read the full text of the two surahs and instructions for performing sajdah when reciting certain verses in Surah Sajdah.

The document is an introduction to Al-Nawawi's Forty Hadith, a collection of 40 hadiths compiled by the 13th century Islamic scholar Imam Al-Nawawi. It provides background on the hadith that encouraged memorizing and preserving 40 hadiths. While this hadith is weak, scholars agree it is permissible to put into practice weak hadiths concerning virtuous deeds. The introduction outlines Al-Nawawi's aim to compile 40 of the most important hadiths that cover the major topics and principles of Islam, with most being from Bukhari and Muslim's collections.
The document provides an overview of key Islamic concepts including:
- What it means to be a Muslim is to submit one's will to Allah.
- The purpose of life is to worship Allah alone. Worship encompasses all internal and external actions done to please Allah.
- The five pillars of Islam are the foundation of faith and practice for Muslims: the shahadah (declaration of faith), salah (prayer), zakah (charity), sawm (fasting during Ramadan), and hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca).
This document provides a summary and analysis of Surah Al-Bayyinah from Tafsir Ibn Kathir.
1. It explains the context and meaning of key terms and phrases in the surah, such as the "People of the Scripture" referring to Jews and Christians, and the "idolators" being polytheistic Arabs.
2. It analyzes the verses discussing how disbelievers would not cease until the "clear proof" or Quran came to them, and how the People of the Scripture differed after clear proofs were provided to them.
3. It summarizes the surah's message that believers who do righteous deeds will receive eternal reward in Paradise, while dis

This document discusses the conflict between Islam and secularism. It argues that secularism is a contemporary manifestation of jahiliyyah (ignorance) and is fundamentally at odds with Islamic monotheism. Secularism restricts Islam to the mosque and seeks to govern society without Islamic law, which constitutes polytheism. The document outlines how secularism entered Muslim lands through the influence of hypocritical secularists, using Turkey as an example. It concludes that secularism has no place in Muslim societies due to Islam's all-encompassing nature and the historical compatibility of Islam with science.

Prophet Muhammad's (ﷺ) Advice to Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه)
-------
The spiritual and wordly life of a Muslim is focused on Allah. Success in both entails knowing Allah, loving Him, trusting Him and worshipping Him alone. It requires the Muslim to learn his religion, discipline his soul and refine his conduct. The Muslim must have firm faith that everything that happens to him in this life is good for him, that his Lord would never decree anything that would be detrimental and, as such, he is required to be patient and steadfast in the face of adversity and grateful at times of ease.
In this treatise, the author, ibn Rajab sets out to explain the advice the Prophet (SAW) imparted to ibn Abbas (radiyAllahu’anhuma), ‘Safeguard Allah and He will safeguard you. Safeguard Allah and you will find Him in front of you. Know Allah in times of ease and He will know you in times of hardship. When you ask, ask Allah. When you seek aid, turn to Allah. The Pen has dried (after having written) all that will occur…’
It would not be an exaggeration to say that if a Muslim was to understand this hadith and follow it closely, he would be well on his way to fulfilling the goals highlighted above. It is for this reason that ibn al-Jawzi said, ‘I pondered this hadith and it struck me with awe; I was so astounded that I almost became light headed… The prevailing ignorance of this hadith and the lack of understanding thereof is truly distressing!’.
‘Abdu’l-Qadir al-Jilani said, ‘Every believer should make this hadith a mirror to his heart, his axiom, his shelter and his topic of conversation. He should act by it in all times of motion and stillness so that he can be saved in this world and in the Hereafter.’
Imam ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (d.795H) was a scholar praised extensively for his vast knowledge, ascetism and expertise in the Hanbali school of thought as well as in hadith and its related sciences. His writings, gatherings and sermons were full of blessings and he was loved by all. He has written numerous monographs explaining individual hadiths of which this one, a series of which is currently being published by Daar us-Sunnah Publishers.
The translator has added appendices which comprise further explanations to the hadith by Mulla Ali al-Qari, ibn ‘Allan, and ibn ‘Uthaymin
The document discusses downloading the Tajwidi Quran. It provides a resource for obtaining a digital copy of the Quran with Tajweed rules included to help with proper recitation. The document likely contains a link or instructions for accessing the Tajwidi Quran in an electronic format.

INTRODUCTION
During the summer months, sitting in my backyard, and looking up at the sky, I wondered if
there were any shortcuts to heaven. I figure with so many distractions in life, all one would need
to do is focus on such shortcuts to improve their chances of getting to heaven. I know that none
of us can get to heaven without God’s mercy and permission, but there must be some actions that
come highly recommended to help us get there. I decided to see what the Hadith had to say.
The teachings of Islam come from two sources, the Quran and the Hadith. Muslims believe the
same angel (Gabriel) that came to prophets Abraham, Moses and Jesus also came to prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Muslims also believe that God, through the angel Gabriel,
revealed the Quran to Muhammad (peace be upon him). This was done over a period of twenty-
three years. Muslims consider the Quran to be God's last revelation to mankind. Since one
in every five persons on earth is a Muslim, the Quran enlightens and guides over one billion
people around the world.
The Hadith are sayings and practices of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Muhammad
(peace be upon him) lived during the sixth and seventh centuries. Muslims accept him as God’s
last prophet and messenger to mankind. He invited people to the same God that Abraham,
Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them) invited people to. The sayings of prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) number in the thousands, and cover a variety of topics.
These thousands of sayings occur in various collections such as Bukhari, Muslim, and Riyad-us-
Saliheen. I decided to scan the smaller collection, Riyad-us-Saliheen, to see if I can find such
shortcuts. I was looking for sayings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) where he said
do such and such, and you will get to heaven or paradise. What I found is contained in this
booklet. I have left in the Hadith number for those who wish to go back to the Arabic text.
Since this booklet is written for both Muslims and non-Muslims, it is my intention to eventually
add some comments under each shortcut (Hadith) so that all can understand them.
Please note, that where the word Allah is used, it is simply the Arabic word for God.

BE PATIENT WHEN A LOVED ONE IS TAKEN FROM
THIS WORLD
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s peace
and praise be on him) said, “Allah the Exalted says: I have no reward other than Paradise for a
believing slave of Mine who remains patient for My sake when I take away his beloved one from
among the inhabitants of the world.’” [Al-Bukhari, Riyad-us-Saliheen # 32]
Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Messenger (may
Allah’s peace and praise be on him) said, “When a man’s child dies, Allah the Most High asks
His angels, ‘Have you taken out the life of the child of My slave?’ and they reply in the
affirmative. He (azza wa jal) then asks, ‘Have you taken the fruit of his heart?’ and they reply in
the affirmative. Thereupon He asks, ‘What did my slave say?’ They say: ‘He praised You and
said: Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).’ Allah
says: ‘Build a house for my slave in Paradise and name it Baitul-Hamd (the House of Praise).””
[At-Tirmidhi, Riyad-us-Saliheen # 922]
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s peace

vice leads to the Fire (Hell), and a person goes on telling a lie till with Allah he is enrolled as a
liar.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Riyad-us-Saliheen # 54]

highlighted in this booklet the centerpiece of our life.
Should we do so, God may shower His favours and Mercy on us and grant us a place in heaven.
By following the various principles outlined in this booklet, God does not benefit. We, our
families and society as a whole benefit.
Not only do we benefit in this life, but we stand to benefit in the hereafter as well.
We can start by ensuring we will be able to answer the following five questions on the day of
judgement:
On the day of judgement no step shall a man take until he has answered questions on five aspects
of his worldy existence: his life and how he spent it; his knowledge and what use he made of it;
his wealth, how he acquired it and how it was spent; and his body and how he utilized it. (Abu
Hurairah in Tirmidhi)
To help us position ourselves properly to answer the above questions, Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) gives us some advice in the following three Hadith. Use them to your
advantage:
The wise and strong among you is the one who keeps his appetites under control and strives for
life after death. And the foolish and weak among you is he who is a slave to sensual pleasures
and still hopes for the best from his Lord. (Shaddad ibn ‘Aus in Ibn Majah and Tirmidhi)
Take advantage of five things before five others overtake you: your youth before you grow old;
your health before you fall sick; your money before you become poor; your leisure before you
become busy; and your life before you die. (Amr ibn Maymum in Tirmidhi)
When a person dies, no further reward is recorded for their actions, with three exceptions:
Charity which continues to benefit people; knowledge from which benefit continues to be reaped;
or the prayers of a child for his dead parent. (Abu Huraira in Muslim)
I hope that you remember me in your prayers, and ask that I get a place in heaven.
