The owner and president of Macon Occupational Medicine in Macon, Georgia, Leonard Bevill provides services for job-related medical issues. Honored for his company’s work to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Leonard Bevill is a member of several community improvement organizations, such as the Shield Club. The organization was chartered in 1968 by newspaper publisher Peyton Anderson to aid the families of law enforcement officers who had lost income due to death or injury. Each year, the club’s scholarship fund provides for the post-secondary education of 10 members of the Macon-Bibb County Fire or Sheriff’s department, or their spouses or children. Recipients must have been accepted by an in-state, accredited, 4-year institution, either public or private. Valued at $3,000 per year, scholarships only apply to undergraduate work (not master’s or doctoral programs). They may be obtained for up to 4 years of school. Winners must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and be enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours per semester), with one exception: Officers may study part-time while working full- or part-time. Interested parties should contact the Community Foundation of Central Georgia at cfcga.org/ to apply. Applicants must submit contact information for a letter of reference from a teacher, principal, or guidance counselor, as well as the most recent transcript. A resume outlining extracurricular activities and other achievement-oriented information should also be included. Officers and previous recipients get first priority.

When an impairment evaluation is being carried out, certain things are being looked at, such as the patient’s functional capacity and health history. Also, it is measured in percentage, which helps employers and insurance companies understand how much damage has been done.

An accomplished healthcare executive with nearly three decades of experience in occupational medicine, Leonard Bevill has served as the president and CEO of Macon Occupational Medicine, one of Georgia's most comprehensive occupational health programs, since 2001. Under Leonard Bevill’s guidance, Macon Occupational Medicine (MOM) won multiple accolades, including the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year award.
The year 2020 had been a challenging year for businesses and entrepreneurs who had to navigate through the adversity posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to remain functional, and business owners in Macon of Georgia were not exempt. In 2020, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce presented a virtual celebration dedicated to recognizing the continuous dedication of some businesses to their operations and consumer safety despite the testing situation of the virus. The recognized medical service provider by the Chamber is Macon Occupational Medicine. The business was named “The COVID-19 Challenge Champion of Business” by the chamber.
MOM’s CEO Leonard Bevill received the award during a recording at Capricorn Sound Studios. In his statement, he commended the devotion of the staff at MOM, who had worked diligently and selflessly throughout the year. He said the award would have been impossible without their effort.

Leonard Bevill established Macon Occupational Medicine, LLC (MOM) in 2001 and continues to serve as its president and CEO. He earned his BS in recreational therapy and his MS in exercise science from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. He belongs to several professional and philanthropic organizations, including the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals, Greater Macon’s Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club, among several others. Leonard Bevill has served as a Scout leader, volunteers as a coach with the Stratford Youth Football League, and maintains an active membership in the Shield Club.
Inspired by Detroit’s 100 Club, the Shield Club was established in 1968 in central Georgia to provide financial support to firefighters, police and other peace officers, and their families in the event of injury, death, or extreme hardship. The Club’s first gift of $1,000 was to the widow of a police officer immediately after his passing. The Club today contributes $5,000 to officers who are severely injured in the line of duty, and $10,000 to the families of those killed in the line of duty. It also offers scholarships to active firefighters and peace officers, as well as their immediate families.

"Does Foreign Direct Investment Negatively Affect Preservation of Culture in the Global South? Case Studies in Thailand and Cambodia."
Do elements of globalization, such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), negatively affect the ability of countries in the Global South to preserve their culture? This research aims to answer this question by employing a cross-sectional comparative case study analysis utilizing methods of difference. Thailand and Cambodia are compared as they are in the same region and have a similar culture. The metric of difference between Thailand and Cambodia is their ability to preserve their culture. This ability is operationalized by their respective attitudes towards FDI; Thailand imposes stringent regulations and limitations on FDI while Cambodia does not hesitate to accept most FDI and imposes fewer limitations. The evidence from this study suggests that FDI from globally influential countries with high gross domestic products (GDPs) (e.g. China, U.S.) challenges the ability of countries with lower GDPs (e.g. Cambodia) to protect their culture. Furthermore, the ability, or lack thereof, of the receiving countries to protect their culture is amplified by the existence and implementation of restrictive FDI policies imposed by their governments.
My study abroad in Bali, Indonesia, inspired this research topic as I noticed how globalization is changing the culture of its people. I learned their language and way of life which helped me understand the beauty and importance of cultural preservation. Debt Securities are Also known as fixed-income securities or instruments. The type of assets is formed by establishing contracts between investor and issuer of the asset.
• The first type of Debit securities is BONDS. Bonds are issued by corporations and government (both local and national government).
• The second important type of Debit security is NOTES. Apart from similarities associated with notes and bonds, notes have shorter term maturity.
• The 3rd important type of Debit security is TRESURY BILLS. These securities have short-term ranging from three months, six months, and one year. Issuer of such securities are governments.
• Above discussed debit securities are mostly issued by governments and corporations. CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSITS CDs are issued by Banks and Financial Institutions. Risk factor associated with CDs gets reduced when issued by reputable institutions or Banks.

The organization was chartered in 1968 by newspaper publisher Peyton Anderson to aid the families of law enforcement officers who had lost income due to death or injury.
- 3. Each year, the club’s scholarship fund provides for the post- secondary education of 10 members of the Macon-Bibb County Fire or Sheriff’s department, or their spouses or children. Recipients must have been accepted by an in-state, accredited, 4- year institution, either public or private. Valued at $3,000 per year, scholarships only apply to undergraduate work (not master’s or doctoral programs). They may be obtained for up to 4 years of school.

Winners must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and be enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours per semester), with one exception: Officers may study part-time while working full- or part-time. Interested parties should contact the Community Foundation of Central Georgia at cfcga.org/ to apply. Applicants must submit contact information for a letter of reference from a teacher, principal, or guidance counselor, as well as the most recent transcript. A resume outlining extracurricular activities and other achievement-oriented information should also be included. Officers and previous recipients get first priority.
