Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was born in 1918 and became the ruler of Abu Dhabi in 1966. On December 2nd, 1971, he established the United Arab Emirates by forming a union between Abu Dhabi and six other emirates. Sheikh Zayed served as the UAE's first president until his death in 2004, leaving behind a legacy of establishing the country and advancing it into a modern nation.

2.  Today I will speak about His Highness Sheikh Zayed
bin Sultan Al Nahyan, The Founder and late President
of the United Arab Emirates.
 Sheikh Zayed was born in 1918.
 Zayed became Al Ain governor in 1946.
 He became the ruler of Abu Dhabi in 1966.

3.  On the 2nd of December 1971 he established the union
of the 7 emirates (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah,
Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain and Ras Al Khaymah)
formed the United Arab Emirates.
 Today, this advanced and elegant country is a fitting
monument to Sheikh Zayed's legacy.

4.  We missed Sheikh Zayed on 2Nd November 2004.
 His son Sheikh Khalifa followed him as a president of
the UAE.
 Sheikh Zayed’s name will always remain in our hearts
and minds.
