The Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the desert, longing for the food they had in Egypt. God promised to provide food for the Israelites in the form of manna and quail. God instructed the people to gather enough manna for each day, except on the sixth day when they should gather extra. On the sixth day, the people found twice as much manna as usual. God told Moses he would test the people to see if they would follow his instructions. The people were unsure of what the manna was at first. Moses told them it was the bread God had given them. God also instructed the Israelites to rest on the Sabbath.
