Sharing is caring
The little boy who did a big thing.
A long time ago there was a small Hebrew boy. He had heard
that Jesus was coming to Galilee to preach. He was happy and
asked for permission to go.
His parents said yes, he could go. He was happy and his mom told him
that he had to take food with. She said that the preaching might take
a while, and he might get hungry.
She then prepared food, for him to take for his day out. She gave him five
loaves and two fishes. You might be wondering how a small boy could finish
five loaves, I was wondering the same.
He was elated and went on his way. He had heard that Jesus was
a holy teacher. He was looking forward to hear what Jesus had
to say.
When he got there, there were many people. He was amazed that even
though there were so many, all of them could hear . He Jesus speak. Jesus
spoke about many things.
The came time for people to eat and rest. Jesus asked his disciples what
was available to feed the crowd. Then Philip said there is a boy with
5loaves and 2fishes. Would you be willing to share your own lunch
with so many people?
The boy was willing to share his lunch with everyone. Jesus blessed
the bread and the fish. He multiplied it, and fed about
5 000 men, without counting the women, and children.
Wow! What a great miracle. The boy was selfless and willing to
share his lunch box. Through his act of selflessness he was able
to be part of the miracle.
May we learn to share with others what we have. We never know
what miracle will happen. Remember that sharing is caring.
