        Work Experience
         •          Successfully completed my Internship Training from Shivaji University,
                    Kolhapur from 01.07.1995 to 30.06.1996.



R      House Officer in Medicine, Community Medicine (Public Health), Surgery,
        Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, A & E and Paediatrics. During this
        period I learnt common bedside procedures like:
        •    Clerking patients.
        •    Intravenous cannulation and blood sampling for routine investigations.
        •    Foley’s catheterization
        •    Dressing of wounds
        •    Phlebotomy,
        •    First on call in 1:6 rota.
        •    Counseling and consenting for surgical procedures.
        •    Assistance in major, minor and emergency surgical procedures.
        •    Team approach towards patient management
                 During my Residency I worked as a Senior House Officer in Medicine for a period of 36 months
        since june 1996. This was a postgraduate training post and led to the award of the degree of Doctor of
        Medicine (Internal Medicine). My duties during this period included:
        •    Assessment of patients in the WARDS as well as A & E., with a view to reach a logical diagnosis and
             institute intensive management.
        •    Being “ON CALL” five days a month.
        •    Attending Internal Medicine/Specialty out-patient clinics.
        •    Recording case histories and observations.
        •    Grand rounds, clinical conferences, multi-disciplinary meetings.
        •    Preparation of discharge summaries and referrals.
        •    Auditing, case presentations and seminars.
•   Frequent performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
    •   Interpretation of ECGs, X-rays, CT scans ABG analysis etc.
    •   Assisting during performance of specialized and invasive procedures and independent performance
        including, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS/ACLS), Pericardiocentesis, Temporary Pacemaker
        Insertion, Diagnostic Gastroendoscopy and Haemo/Peritoneal Dialysis.
    The three years of my residency in Internal Medicine comprised rotations in busy, speciality subunits as
    follows:

               3.   Endocrinology                    06months
               4.   Gastroenterology                 04months
               5.   Neurology                        03months
