Stratford is William Shakespeare's birthplace and where he spent much of his life, being born in 1564 in a house on Henley Street that is now a popular tourist attraction. He also died in Stratford in 1616. Several important places related to Shakespeare's life can still be visited in Stratford, including the church where he was baptized, his family home New Place where he lived and died, and the Grammar School where he was educated.

1. SHAKESPEARE'S ITINERARY IN STRATFORD
Stratford is Shakespeare's birthplace and it's the place where he spent a lot of time of his life. He
also died here at the age of fifty-two, on 23 April 1616.
This town was obviously different from today's for many reasons: the size, the smell, the noise and
the general atmosphere.
Here there are also many places of Shakespeare's life that you can visit.
William was born in 1564 in a house that today is also visited by a lot of people. This house is in the
centre of the town in Henley Street.

2. Shottery is the beautiful cottage that belonged to his wife and where he lived too.
The Holy Trinity is the church where William was baptized on 26 April.
The house known as New Place was Shakespeare's family home from 1597, where he lived for a
period and where he died in 1616.

3. The Grammar School is the place where Shakespeare studied at the age of seven, and it still stands.
