William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England in 1564 and is considered the greatest English poet and dramatist in the world. He wrote 37 plays, with some of his most famous works being Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
