You can request time off through the 'my requested schedule' link under My Workplace. There are two types of requests - temporary for a single day or permanent for recurring days off each week. Select the appropriate day and time range you want off, or the full day, then submit it for manager approval. Recurring requests like every Monday off would select the box for that day, while a range like 3pm-9pm Fridays would select the day and hours. All requests require manager approval before taking effect.
