9. Planning Inspection of facility
1. Visit Sub county to establish relationship with Team (Sub County / District Health Management Team (DHMT)
2. Through District Public health officer /DPHN /Public health Nurse- Schedule pre inspection visit
3. Pay County inspection fee _KES 1000 - 2000
4. Schedule an inspection with Sub County / District Health Management Team (DHMT)
5. Plan to pay incentive for inspection
6. Work on identified gaps / Follow up for Inspection Reports
10. Submit Documentation
KMPPDB/NCK
1. Obtain forms filled in and duly signed by :Area Medical Officer of Health or the Provincial Medical Officer (PMO).
2. Submit separate inspection report with relevant details signed by the inspection team. Retain copies for facility records)
3. Certified copies of professional qualifications of all medical personnel working therein e.g. Private Practice License for
doctors and nurses and their Registration Certificates.
4. Provide (signed by relevant authorities) building architectural plans for :
a. Nursing home /hospital
b. mortuary/storage facilities for dead bodies
5. Pay for registration and licensing fees (KES 25000 for a clinic )
6. Wait for licence in 3-4 weeks (this can be downloaded in regulatory website)

Note :
It is the RESPONSIBILITY of the Proprietor /Administrator/Director to ensure that:-
a) The facility is kept clean
b) Institution licence is up to date
c) Health professionals working therein are registered/ licenced appropriately
