In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Mindfulness increases awareness of our emotions and teaches us to manage them better, leading to improved mood.
Regular mindfulness practice can improve our ability to concentrate and focus our attention on the present moment.
Slide 4: Benefits of Mindfulness for Physical Health
Research has shown that practicing mindfulness can contribute to lowering blood pressure, which is beneficial for heart health.
Regular meditation and mindfulness practice can strengthen the immune system, aiding the body in fighting infections.
Mindfulness may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity by reducing stress and improving overall lifestyle habits.
Slide 5: Impact of Mindfulness on Relationships
Mindfulness can help us better understand others and improve communication, leading to healthier relationships.
By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.
Body scan meditation involves focusing on different parts of the body, paying attention to any sensations and feelings.

2. Matthew 25. 31 - 46
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit
upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall
separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall
the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred,
and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye
took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when
saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a
stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in
prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say
unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,
ye have done it unto me. 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from
me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an
hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was
a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in
prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord,
when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in
prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I
say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
3. Who will enter God’s Kingdom
Those who will inherit the kingdom prepared from the
foundation of the world, will do so not because they spoke in
tongues. Not because they were baptized. Not because they
were bishops or pastors, deacons or elders. Not because they
were blessed and rich and famous. But because they fed the
hungry, gave water to the thirsty, took strangers in, clothed
the naked, visited the sick and those in prison.
Christianity is not about what you experience in Church but
what you do in the outside world. Who you help in the outside
world.
Every experience in church should be felt in your family and
the outside world in terms of showing compassion and
sympathy
It is not about testimonies in church, but about the world
acknowledging your light and the brightness of your light
4. Jesus disguises Himself to deal with us.
When Mary was Queen of England, she once
disguised herself to take a walk with some
children. Then it rained. She took shelter in the
porch of a house and requested for an umbrella
with a promise to return it the next day. The owner
of the house did not want to give her her best
umbrella. She gave her an old one with holes and
with one of the ribs broken. The next day a senior
military officer returned the umbrella with a gift
and thanks from the queen. Stunned the woman
burst into tears, crying and saying, “What an
opportunity I missed that I did not give my very
best.”
5. What are you doing to people
This story of Queen Mary is unfortunately how we
give to the Lord because we fail to see Him in the
poor, helpless people we meet everyday. We give
them broken gifts, or none at all.
What the Lord is saying is that we will be judged
based on our caring service in the face of human
needs. We are the light of the world – He expects us
to shine. We are the salt of the earth – He expects us
to be the conscience of the world.
The story of the Good Samaritan illustrates three
ways of dealing with people. The robbers beat him up.
The Pharisees passed them up. The Good Samaritan
Lifted him up. What are you doing to the people you
6. This scripture teaches us 4 truths about God’s call to
serve.
1 We are called to render LOVING SERVICE:
God is a loving God. God is love. God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son. The Bible is a love
story. The story of God’s love for man, in spite of man’s
sins. God’s love is not the stuff you see on films and novels.
It is everlasting
Not the love that seeks its own objective, but the love that
seeks to bless and save. Demonstrative love. Living, active
love. Caring for widows and orphans, helping the needy and
poor. Living for others.
This is why Jesus said “by this will all men know that you
are my disciples, if you love one another.”
7. Love is the key
A sociology professor had his students conduct a research on some
190 bad boys in a Baltimore slum. The aim was to say if they would
turn out good.
All the students concluded the research by saying that all the boys
would end up in jail or be executed.
Twenty years after another professor stumbled on the research and
tracked the boys. Nearly all of them turned out good and were
successful as doctors, lawyers, military officers etc.
He called them to find out what turned them around. They all
referenced one woman, Sheila O’Rourke. She turned their lives
around.
He called the woman to find out what she did to turn the boys lives
around. Sheila O’Rourke thought about it for sometime and said, “I
cannot remember what I did. I just loved those boys.”
Sometimes all you need to turn a life around is love.
8. 2. Our call is for simple services
These are simple services: feed hungry, care for the poor, help the
needy etc.
Simple acts of mercy you can do everyday to the people you see.
You do not need intelligence or wealth.
God does not want you to solve our national problems, but if we all
do these simple acts of kindness our national problems will be
solved.
Let us make a difference where we are. Do it to one, Do it to Jesus.
According to Tozer. On that day the question will not be “How much
did you do?” but “How much could you have done?”
It is not what you gave, but what you kept back.
Feeling faint from hunger, a poor newspaper boy, Howard, knocked
on a door to ask for food, but a pretty girl opened the door and he
asked for water instead. The girl gave him a bowl of milk – because
he looked hungry. Over 30 years after the girl had a rare disease
which can only be treated by one specialist. The cost of treatment
was over $300,000 dollars. The doctor completed the treated and
slammed her with the bill. Overleaf he wrote “PAID IN FULL WITH
9. 3. We will be judged by our service.
He separated the sheep and the goats based on
their services. Both sets could not recall ever doing
or not doing anything for the Lord.
One set lifted people up. The other beat them up or
passed them up. One sought to make the world a
better place, the other cared nothing about the
world.
How do we treat our colleagues, subordinates,
strangers, the poor?
The Laodicean Church was rich in goods, but was
poor before God. It was not doing the work of
Christ.
A church should exist to help the poor, feed
orphans, provide a shelter for the weary and succor
10. 4. Our service will be blessed and reward
This is very clear not only from this scripture but from
the one that says that you will reap sow. "What seeds are
you sowing”
Your children will also reap in the spiritual just like they
reap in the physical, what you sowed. The children of the
righteous cannot beg for bread.
Over 25 yrs ago Cruz and Debbe were drug addicts and
homeless petty thieves.
While in prison, a matron gave Debbe the bible. She
came out and ill and near death in hospital she got
saved. Much later she converted Cruz. They married in
1988. Now they are running a thriving ministry for
homeless people, and they feed 60 daily.
I have more respect for the ministry that feeds 60 poor
daily than the one that owns a fleet of private jets and
11. Conclusion:
We live in a world of pain… we need to make a difference. The
church needs to make a difference
Let us do everything as unto the lord. Sometimes we may
confront problems we may not be able to solve, but at such
times a word of prayer can do the miracle.
I know it gets tough at times. But remember that that same
Jesus, they crucified and beat up was made Lord and Saviour.
Why? Because they did not succeed in distracting Him from
service, loving, caring, being compassionate, every faithful.
Even when they came to arrest Him, and they cut the ear of
one of his assailants, he re-attached it.
Death could not hold him captive. There is no friend like Jesus
and we should follow His example and let the world say about
us that there are no friends like followers of Christ.
