Renal disease can be diagnosed through serological tests that detect antibodies produced by the immune system against kidney structures. These include tests for antinuclear antibodies, antibodies against double-stranded DNA, and antibodies against glomerular basement membrane. Positive tests or high antibody levels provide evidence of autoimmune kidney disease.
