This document outlines a rubric for evaluating self-directed study of non-fiction texts. It evaluates students on 4 criteria: metacognition, information seeking methods, and communicating connections. Each criteria is scored on a scale of 1-4, with 4 being the highest score demonstrating a clear understanding and application of the criteria.
