This document compares the key differences between traditional electrical devices and modern electronics circuits. Traditional electrical devices operate on high current, voltage and power and are large in size, resulting in high power dissipation and losses. They use conductors and work on AC supplies. In contrast, modern electronics circuits are small, operate on low current, voltage and power with controlling processes, can be unipolar or bipolar, generally work on DC supplies, and use semiconductors to control current flow resulting in lower losses.
