This document discusses self-healing materials. Researchers at Penn State University developed a biodegradable liquid made of yeast and bacteria that allows torn fabric to reattach itself when the liquid is applied and the edges are pressed together. Another self-healing material discussed is Nano Cure Technology nylon ripstop, which can repair small holes and punctures using a special coating and the heat from fingers. Most self-healing materials contain microcapsules filled with glue that repair cracks when the capsules break open.
