Nigerians are known for their
resilience in overcoming challenges.
Activity 2: Resilience Building Exercise
Tug a rubber band
It is normal to experience mixed emotions from time to time.
However, the most important thing is to keep moving in the same
direction. In order to persevere through challenging
circumstances that may not play out as expected, resilience is
absolutely necessary. Stress and strain are unavoidable, but you
need to consciously tell yourself to keep your head up and keep
moving forward.
EMPOWERING YOURSELF
Self-empowerment is more than just having a positive mindset. It's about
understanding your skills, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as being
aware of your surroundings. Self-empowerment involves consciously
deciding to take control of your own future.
Recognize your abilities: Evaluate your own strengths and weaknesses. Reflect for a moment on how
they can assist you in achieving your objectives, once you have a practical understanding of them.
Be assertive: That can include things like taking care of yourself physically and mentally and being
forthright about what you require emotionally and psychologically.
Set goals: Motivate yourself towards your attainable goals by developing an action plan or a sequence
of actionable measures.
