It may seem to you that healthcare has been a national topic of debate among political leaders for as long as you can remember.
Healthcare has been a policy item and a topic of debate not only in recent times but as far back as the administration of the second U.S. president, John Adams. In 1798, Adams signed legislation requiring that 20 cents per month of a sailor’s paycheck be set aside for covering their medical bills. This represented the first major piece of U.S. healthcare legislation, and the topic of healthcare has been woven into presidential agendas and political debate ever since.
As a healthcare professional, you may be called upon to provide expertise, guidance and/or opinions on healthcare matters as they are debated for inclusion into new policy. You may also be involved in planning new organizational policy and responses to changes in legislation. Global expansion in the business market is becoming a revolutionary game changer. In today’s modern world, the people are used to having everything at their fingertips, including instant access to international purchases. In order for this to be achieved, businesses need to consider whether or not the transition to a global market is beneficial for their company or not. Of course, global expansion is not the only way for a company to grow. It does, however, allow for the company to increase their market and therefore allow their product to be sold to more people, resulting in higher profits. Naturally, there are many benefits, and drawbacks, to global expansion. This report outlines three major areas of concern for businesses when they decide to expand globally, and discusses the pros and cons of these areas as it pertains to expanding.
Introduction
Overview
Sometimes, business need help deciding whether or not global expansion is something that would benefit their company. The purpose of this report is to outline, in depth, three key components that should be considered when a business is thinking about global expansion. These components include: the cost it would take to expand globally, the effect that the expansion would have on American jobs, and the cultural barriers that the business is likely to face.
Background
Businesses usually begin to consider to expand within the global market, when they are in need of growth and new developments. A company can only grow so large within their domestic area before they need to consider international soils for further growth. The need for growth can occur one of several ways. Usually, it occurs when they are needing a new area to introduce their market, because their current market is already familiar with their products. There are, however, usually some characteristics that the company possesses beforehand, that would make them a good fit to begin thinking about global expansion. These traits include (but are not limited to): possessing an innate global bias, favoring the web, working with the right partners, valuing opportunity, knowing their metrics, taking international strategy seriously, etc. (Kelly, 2015). So what does all of this mean? Basically, if the company possesses these characteristics before they actually expand globally, they then possess the correct foundation to have a higher chance for success within the global market.
Once a company has decided to take the first step in looking into global expansion for their business, they then need to weigh out all of the challenges that they will face and determine whether or not these challenges are beneficial to the company’s risks. This report is choosing to focus on the challenges of cost, cultural barriers, and the effects that the expansion will have on American jobs. These challenges are all going to mean different things for different businesses and it is important that they are each discussed thoroughly, before decidin.

Healthcare has been a policy item and a topic of debate not only in recent times but as far back as the administration of the second U.S. president, John Adams. In 1798, Adams signed legislation requiring that 20 cents per month of a sailor’s paycheck be set aside for covering their medical bills. This represented the first major piece of U.S. healthcare legislation, and the topic of healthcare has been woven into presidential agendas and political debate ever since.
As a healthcare professional, you may be called upon to provide expertise, guidance and/or opinions on healthcare matters as they are debated for inclusion into new policy. You may also be involved in planning new organizational policy and responses to changes in legislation. Global expansion in the business market is becoming a revolutionary game changer. In today’s modern world, the people are used to having everything at their fingertips, including instant access to international purchases. In order for this to be achieved, businesses need to consider whether or not the transition to a global market is beneficial for their company or not. Of course, global expansion is not the only way for a company to grow. It does, however, allow for the company to increase their market and therefore allow their product to be sold to more people, resulting in higher profits. Naturally, there are many benefits, and drawbacks, to global expansion. This report outlines three major areas of concern for businesses when they decide to expand globally, and discusses the pros and cons of these areas as it pertains to expanding.

Overview
Sometimes, business need help deciding whether or not global expansion is something that would benefit their company. The purpose of this report is to outline, in depth, three key components that should be considered when a business is thinking about global expansion. These components include: the cost it would take to expand globally, the effect that the expansion would have on American jobs, and the cultural barriers that the business is likely to face.
Background
Businesses usually begin to consider to expand within the global market, when they are in need of growth and new developments. A company can only grow so large within their domestic area before they need to consider international soils for further growth. The need for growth can occur one of several ways. Usually, it occurs when they are needing a new area to introduce their market, because their current market is already familiar with their products. There are, however, usually some characteristics that the company possesses beforehand, that would make them a good fit to begin thinking about global expansion. These traits include (but are not limited to): possessing an innate global bias, favoring the web, working with the right partners, valuing opportunity, knowing their metrics, taking international strategy seriously, etc. (Kelly, 2015). So what does all of this mean? Basically, if the company possesses these characteristics before they actually expand globally, they then possess the correct foundation to have a higher chance for success within the global market.
Once a company has decided to take the first step in looking into global expansion for their business, they then need to weigh out all of the challenges that they will face and determine whether or not these challenges are beneficial to the company’s risks. This report is choosing to focus on the challenges of cost, cultural barriers, and the effects that the expansion will have on American jobs. These challenges are all going to mean different things for different businesses and it is important that they are each discussed thoroughly, before decidin.

Types of Patterns
As discussed in Chapter 3, a crime pattern is a group of two or more crimes reported to or discovered by the police that is treated as one unit of analysis because (1) the crimes share one or more key commonalities that make them notable and distinct, (2) there is no known relationship between victim and offender, and (3) the criminal activity is typically of limited duration (IACA, 2011b). The International Association of Crime Analysts (2011b) categorizes crime patterns into seven main types, both to structure the identification of patterns and to provide a common language for communication about patterns within police departments and their communities. Wyoming’s Upper Green River Valley is a crucial link in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Each year more than 100,000 animals, including antelope and mule deer, pass through this valley on a long migration from the Grand Tetons to their winter pasture in the High Desert. This valley is also home to the head waters of the Colorado River, a vital trout habitat. And it’s one of the last strongholds for the rare Sage-Grouse. In fact, the area has been compared to the Serengeti for its spectacular array of wildlife. It has also been compared to Saudi Arabia.
Experts have estimated that there’s roughly 20 trillion cubic feet of gas here. That would supply the entire nation’s natural gas needs for about a year. The same geological formation that creates a natural corridor for wildlife also holds rich deposits of natural gas, miles beneath the surface. This country’s increasing demand for natural gas coupled with new technology is turning this area into a bonanza for the energy industry.
It’s no doubt that the activity level’s increased. What’s happened is that we have evolved the technology which has allowed us to extract this natural gas from the subsurface efficiently and economically. That technology didn’t exist five, ten years ago.
This is public land managed by the U.S. Government. Most of the gas leases were granted under previous administrations before the new technology was developed. Now the Bush Administration has directed federal land managers to expedite oil and gas development all along the Front Range of the Rockies in Wyoming, Montana, Eastern Utah, Western Colorado, and Northern New Mexico. Here in the Upper Green River Valley where a gas field known as the Pinedale Anticline is located no one expects to stop the energy boom but they do hope to slow it down.
They say, “I support Bush, I support energy development but I live here for a reason, this place has a certain quality of life.”
The basin already has about 5,200 gas wells but the government is considering drilling permits for up to 10,000.
This is an empty landscape. It has been so since the first Europeans came here and yet 10,000 rigs would completely change it and I’m afraid it might make it an industrial landscape.

Wyoming’s Upper Green River Valley is a crucial link in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Each year more than 100,000 animals, including antelope and mule deer, pass through this valley on a long migration from the Grand Tetons to their winter pasture in the High Desert. This valley is also home to the head waters of the Colorado River, a vital trout habitat. And it’s one of the last strongholds for the rare Sage-Grouse. In fact, the area has been compared to the Serengeti for its spectacular array of wildlife. It has also been compared to Saudi Arabia.
Experts have estimated that there’s roughly 20 trillion cubic feet of gas here. That would supply the entire nation’s natural gas needs for about a year. The same geological formation that creates a natural corridor for wildlife also holds rich deposits of natural gas, miles beneath the surface. This country’s increasing demand for natural gas coupled with new technology is turning this area into a bonanza for the energy industry.
It’s no doubt that the activity level’s increased. What’s happened is that we have evolved the technology which has allowed us to extract this natural gas from the subsurface efficiently and economically. That technology didn’t exist five, ten years ago.
This is public land managed by the U.S. Government. Most of the gas leases were granted under previous administrations before the new technology was developed. Now the Bush Administration has directed federal land managers to expedite oil and gas development all along the Front Range of the Rockies in Wyoming, Montana, Eastern Utah, Western Colorado, and Northern New Mexico. Here in the Upper Green River Valley where a gas field known as the Pinedale Anticline is located no one expects to stop the energy boom but they do hope to slow it down.
They say, “I support Bush, I support energy development but I live here for a reason, this place has a certain quality of life.”
The basin already has about 5,200 gas wells but the government is considering drilling permits for up to 10,000.
This is an empty landscape. It has been so since the first Europeans came here and yet 10,000 rigs would completely change it and I’m afraid it might make it an industrial landscape.

The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Also, create a PowerPoint presentation consisting of 15–20 slides to be presented in front of a Congressional health committee. Instructions for creating the presentation Each slide will have a brief explanation of not more than one or two paragraphs in the Notes section located below the slide. Graphics, audio, and video should be used sparingly. Sources for graphics are usually placed at the bottom of the graphic. Include a title slide in the presentation. Body of the presentation will include one or two slides for an introduction, the subtopics of the presentation, and a conclusion (one or two slides). Include a reference slide(s) in the presentation.
