The objectives of the event are:
 to bring together experts in the field to present the state-of-the-art in
Phraseology and Paremiology;
 to show new trends in phraseological and paremiological studies;
 to encourage research in the field of Phraseology and Paremiology,
promoting the debate about theories and research methodologies related
to language and its role in the construction of knowledge;
 to promote the exchange, discussion, and exchange of experiences
between national and foreign teachers and researchers;
 to search for new alternatives to include phraseological and
paremiological aspects in the process of language teaching.
 to prepare an agenda for applied research in Phraseology and
Paremiology.
 to encourage scientific production in the field of Phraseology and
Paremiology through joint projects and publications;
 to encourage the dissemination of knowledge and models in the area of
Phraseology and Paremiology in Brazil.
